Do you love exploring big topics in a structured setting, with carefully crafted curriculum, and the support of a caring instructor? Death’s Apprentice Prep School provides direction, support, and all the tools you need to finally put your affairs in order, one important topic at a time.  We will go way beyond Advance Planning checklists, because they really don’t work. Our program will help you explore your values and beliefs, so you can properly express your future wishes. We’ll complete the four pillars of holistic advance care planning together:

  • Legal, financial, & administrative tasks

  • Medical & philosophical decision-making

  • Disposition & ceremony planning

  • The “Most Important Paperwork”© (aka manageable legacy projects)

And together, we’ll find strength, support, and commitment to ourselves and each other to get this work done, and done right. We will do this work together in community—creating connection and deepening our individual experience in the process.

When: 

  • Upcoming Prep School programs for 2023 in September, October & November

    • Classic Prep School: 5 weeks, once a week. This program style suits anyone who likes time to reflect on meaningful questions and digest important information between sessions. There are two Classic Prep School sessions to choose from this fall: Sept 20-Oct 18 or September 26-Oct 24, 7:00-8:15 PM PST. This session is best for folks in BC, Alberta, Washington, Oregon & California (unless you’re a night owl!)

    • Bootcamp Edition: One big weekend, done and dusted! Bootcamp suits anyone who wants an accelerated option or struggles to commit to a weekly schedule. BOOTCAMP has two sessions to choose from, Oct 21 & 22 or Nov 25 &26, 10am-2 pm. This timezone works for anyone in North America, all are welcome!

What it costs:

  • $325 & GST (2+ participants receive a 10% discount)

Who should come:

  • Anyone who wants to be sure they don’t leave a mess behind

  • Folks who have done some planning, but no heart-work

  • People who have done lots of heart-work and self-reflection, but can’t get the paperwork finished

  • Folks who last looked at their legal paperwork a LONG time ago

  • People who want to empower their advocates to speak confidently on their behalf (and people who want to name their own advocates, instead of having the wrong person appointed by default)

  • Moms and dads.  Also, people who have (or ever had) a mom or a dad.

  • Mortals
